NOTES

Two changes in respect to Birmingham have been made to this year’s calendar.
1. Since during the Christmas Octave, of diocesan feasts, only those of 1st Class and in honour of saints who are on those days inscribed in the universal calendar, though only by a commemoration, are admitted, the commemoration of S Egwin on 30th December is no longer made. (Gen. Rub. 68 f.) This is confirmed by relevant year books.

2. S Chad on 2nd March has been reduced to 2nd Class. This is confirmed by relevant year books.
